# Former OCC Regulator Barry Wides Joins FairPlay Advisory Board

A few weeks ago, FairPlay launched CRAi™, our large language model for Community Reinvestment Act intelligence.

The response from the banking community has been incredible.

Today, we’re adding one of the country’s leading CRA experts to help us take CRAi even further.

FairPlay is thrilled to welcome **Barry Wides** to FairPlay’s Advisory Board.

Barry is a former Deputy Comptroller at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and has spent much of his career wrestling with the same questions CRA officers confront every day:

 - How will regulators evaluate our performance?
 - Where are our strengths and weaknesses?
 - How do we compare with our peers and our market?
 - Where should we deploy our CRA resources to make the greatest impact?

Those are exactly the questions CRAi was built to answer.

“Barry brings decades of experience in bank supervision, CRA policy, community development finance, and hands-on work helping banks strengthen their CRA programs and prepare for examinations,” Kareem Saleh, FairPlay CEO, said. “As a FairPlay advisor, Barry will help us sharpen CRAi, accelerate its adoption across the banking industry, and ensure we are building tools that reflect how CRA actually works in the bank and in the examination room.”
